Announcer
The moments just before an event begins set the tone for everything that follows.
A clear, confident announcement tells your audience they're in the right place, builds anticipation, and creates a professional first impression.
As a voice of god (VOG) announcer, I provide live and recorded announcements for conferences, award ceremonies, nonprofit galas, corporate meetings, and special events. My role is to guide attendees through the experience with warmth, clarity, and impeccable timing while allowing your speakers and presenters to remain the focus.
Whether your event is in person, virtual, or hybrid, I work closely with your production team to deliver announcements that feel polished, intentional, and perfectly timed.
Voice-of-god Services Include
Opening and closing announcements
Speaker and award recipient introductions
Sponsor and housekeeping announcements
Session transitions
Live event cueing with production teams
Pre-recorded announcements for recurring events
Virtual, hybrid, and in-person event support
For more than a decade, I've served as the Voice of God for conferences, nonprofit events, and live productions where professionalism and precision matter. My background as a public radio host and live event producer means I understand both the technical side of production and the importance of creating a welcoming experience for every audience.
When the lights dim and it's time to begin, your audience hears a voice that inspires confidence and keeps your event moving seamlessly from one moment to the next.
Some of My Past Clients
MEET CHRISTOPHER JOHNSON
Virtual events aren’t successful because the technology works.
They’re successful because people feel confident, conversations flow naturally, and every technical detail supports the event’s purpose.
That’s where I come in.
I’m Christopher Johnson, founder of Calm Clear Media. I help nonprofits, associations, universities, and mission-driven organizations deliver virtual and hybrid events that engage audiences, support presenters, and reflect the professionalism of their work.
When the stakes are high, I provide the strategy, production, and calm support that allow your team to focus on the conversation instead of the technology.
Calm. Clear. Purpose-First.
Every event begins with a question: What should this event accomplish?
Too often, organizations start by choosing a platform or adding features. I believe the technology should serve the purpose, not the other way around.
Whether you’re hosting a board meeting, annual conference, member webinar, fundraising event, leadership summit, or panel discussion, I design the experience around your goals and your audience.
The technology becomes almost invisible, allowing your message to take center stage.
How We Work Together
Before the Event
Preparation creates confidence.
Before your event, we build a clear plan that reduces surprises and helps everyone feel ready.
Together we’ll:
Develop a detailed run of show
Prepare speakers through individual tech checks
Configure Zoom or your virtual platform for the best audience experience
Design engagement opportunities that fit your goals
Clarify roles, timing, transitions, and contingency plans
When event day arrives, everyone knows what comes next.
During the Event
This is where preparation pays off.
While your team focuses on your members, donors, stakeholders, or attendees, I’m focused on everything happening behind the scenes.
That includes:
Managing technical production
Supporting speakers privately
Coordinating timing and transitions
Monitoring audience experience
Solving problems quickly and quietly before they become distractions
Most attendees never notice the work happening behind the scenes.
That’s exactly the point.
What Clients Gain
Working with Calm Clear Media means your team can concentrate on the conversation instead of worrying about the controls.
Your presenters feel prepared and supported.
Your audience stays engaged.
Your organization projects confidence and professionalism.
Your message comes through clearly.
Why Organizations Choose Calm Clear Media
Many of my clients come to me because they’re facing important moments.
They’re presenting to members, donors, boards, or stakeholders.
They’re coordinating multiple speakers.
They’re managing limited staff while trying to deliver an excellent experience.
They’re worried that technology problems could distract from an important message.
My role is to reduce that pressure.
I bring more than two decades of experience spanning information technology, broadcasting, facilitation, and live event production. That combination allows me to think strategically while remaining calm when something unexpected happens.
A Broadcaster’s Approach to Virtual Events
In addition to producing events, I’m a public radio host with Michigan Public, Michigan’s largest NPR affiliate.
Broadcasting reinforces skills that are invaluable during live events: clear communication, careful preparation, sound judgment under pressure, and an unwavering focus on the audience.
Whether I’m introducing a story during breaking news or guiding a virtual conference with hundreds of attendees, the goal is the same.
Help people connect with ideas without distractions.
Let’s Create an Event Your Audience Remembers
Your audience won’t remember perfectly configured Zoom settings.
They’ll remember feeling connected.
They’ll remember your speakers.
They’ll remember your message.
My job is to make sure the technology quietly supports all of it.
If you’re planning a virtual or hybrid event and want an experienced partner who brings strategy, technical expertise, and a calm presence from planning through production, I'd love to help.
